ShiftSplit
Time tracking, accounted for

Clock in once. Split the day into what actually happened.

A regular timesheet tells you someone worked eight hours. ShiftSplit tells you how — divided into the categories your organization tracks, logged by the person who did the work, ready for managers to review.

How it works

Three steps, and the math always balances.

No manual timesheets to reconcile. The timer measures the shift, and the split has to add back up to it before it can be saved.

Step 01

Clock in

One tap starts a live work session. The timer runs in the browser and on the server, so the recorded time is the real time — not a number typed in after the fact.

Step 02

Split the shift

When you clock out, divide the hours across categories with a slider or a number. A live progress bar keeps you honest: you can't submit until the segments equal the shift.

Step 03

Managers see the picture

The admin dashboard rolls every split into per-employee totals, category breakdowns, and week-over-week trends — across the whole team, by date range.

What you get

Built for teams that need to know where the time went.

Server-verified timer

Start and stop times are recorded server-side, so logged hours can't be quietly inflated from the client.

Slider-based allocation

Drag to divide hours, or type exact values. The remaining time updates live and the total has to match before you can submit.

Custom categories

Admins define the categories that matter to your organization, activate or retire them, and keep historical entries intact.

Editable history

Forgot to clock out, or mislabeled a block? Adjust start and end times and re-allocate any past session — overlaps are caught automatically.

Manager dashboard

KPI cards, this-week-vs-last-week trends, top contributors, and a category breakdown — filterable to any date range.

Per-employee drill-down

Open any teammate to see their pay-period total, daily hours, and the exact category split behind every shift.

The difference

A shift tracker that survives the question "what did we spend that time on?"

An ordinary clock-in app

  • Records that 8 hours happened
  • One flat number per day
  • Category guesswork after the fact
  • Hard to answer "where did the week go?"

ShiftSplit

  • Records 8 hours and how they broke down
  • Categorized by the person who did the work
  • Allocation enforced to match the clock
  • Team and per-person reporting, any date range
